The corner building offers you a gorgeous view on the pittoresk little square of the ‘Vrijdagmarkt’. A quiet square that hasn’t been discovered by the big audience yet and ideal to meet local Antwerp people.
In the ‘Nationalestraat’ (= around the corner) and in the neighborhood you can spend your money in the various designer shops of famous Antwerp and international designers. (Dries Van Noten, Filippa K, Diane von Furstenberg, Paul Smith, Yamamoto, Veronique Branquino, Stephan Schneider, Anna Heylen, …)
Very unique and traditonal is the weekly auction on the ‘Vrijdagmarkt’. Here you can buy for a cheap price exclusive, retro and sometimes even valuable objects.
On this square you’ll also find the world famous Plantin-Moretus museum. The only printing/publisher in the world from the Renaissances and baroque time which has kept remaimed.
